Permission to Be Me - A Live Blueprint Reading with Jane Teresa Anderson
What happens when your life is reflected back to you through the lens of Human Design, Astrology, and Gene Keys?
I recently shared a special episode of The Wildly Beautiful Life Podcast, where I share a live Blueprint Reading with Jane Teresa Anderson, a dream analyst, author, podcaster, and deeply thoughtful guide into the world of dreams and the unconscious.
Jane had interviewed me for her own podcast a few weeks earlier, and during that conversation she became curious about the work I do with soul-aligned blueprint readings. She generously agreed to record her own reading so I could share the process with you.
This blueprint overview gives you a rare opportunity to hear how these three systems - Human Design, Astrology, and Gene Keys - can be woven together to create a deeper, more nuanced understanding of a personβs natural design, gifts, life themes, purpose, and path of becoming.
This is not a conversation about prediction.
It is a conversation about recognition.
It is about what happens when someone hears their own truth reflected back through a language that helps them understand themselves more clearly.
What is a Blueprint Reading?
A Blueprint Reading brings together three powerful systems of self-understanding:
Human Design, which helps us understand how our energy works, how we make aligned decisions, and how we are designed to move through the world.
Astrology, which reveals the deeper archetypal patterns, life themes, emotional landscape, and soul direction present in the natal chart.
Gene Keys, which offers a contemplative map of our shadows, gifts, purpose, radiance, and higher potential.
Individually, each system can be powerful. But itβs my experience (and why I do the work that I do) that when they are woven together, they begin to tell a more complete story.
Human Design: Generator Energy and Sacral Authority
We began with Janeβs Human Design.
Jane is a Generator, which means she has consistent access to sacral life-force energy when she is engaged with what is truly correct for her.
Generators are often here to build, master, respond, and devote themselves to work or experiences that feel genuinely satisfying. They can have enormous energy, but that energy is not meant to be available for everything.
This distinction matters.
Many Generators are capable people. They can get things done. Others often recognise this and bring more work, more requests, and more responsibilities to them.
But just because a Generator can do something does not mean it is correct for them.
That is where sacral authority becomes essential.
Jane has sacral authority, which means her body gives her a physical response to what is right for her. The body speaks through expansion or contraction, yes or no, opening or closing.
In the episode, we explored this through a very simple example: food. When Jane spoke about something she enjoyed, her body visibly brightened. When she imagined something she did not want, there was a clear contraction.
This is one of the simplest ways to begin learning sacral authority.
The body knows.
And the more we learn to listen, the less we need to force our decisions through the mind alone.
Satisfaction, Frustration, and the Wisdom of the Body
For Generators, satisfaction is a sign of alignment.
It does not mean life is perfect or always easy. It means your energy is being used in a way that feels correct, meaningful, and alive.
Frustration, on the other hand, often points to misalignment. It may show up when you are pushing, initiating from the mind, saying yes when your body said no, or giving your energy to something that is no longer right for you.
Jane immediately recognised frustration as one of her clearest signals.
This is one of the beautiful things about Human Design. It does not shame the feeling. It gives it context.
Frustration is not failure.
It can be feedback.
It can be the bodyβs way of saying, βThis is not the way.β
The 3/5 Profile: Experience, Experimentation, and Leadership
Janeβs Human Design profile is a 3/5.
The 3 line learns through experience, trial and error, experimentation, and embodied discovery. It is not here to get everything right the first time. It is here to learn by living.
This can be deeply liberating.
For a 3 line, so-called failure is not really failure. It is part of the process. It is how wisdom is gathered.
The 5 line brings a different quality. It carries leadership, practicality, vision, and the ability to guide others through what has been learned.
Together, the 3/5 profile often creates someone who has lived through experience, refined their understanding, and can then offer practical wisdom to others.
Jane recognised this immediately in her work with dreams. Her approach has been developed through research, experimentation, intuitive leaps, scientific curiosity, and decades of refining what works.
This is not theoretical wisdom.
It is lived wisdom.
Purpose as Becoming, Not Forcing
One of the most beautiful parts of Janeβs Human Design reading was her Incarnation Cross: the Right Angle Cross of the Vessel of Love.
This cross carries themes of connection, emotional expression, support, nurturing relationships, belonging, and the transformational power of love.
Jane naturally connected this to her work with dreams, writing, public speaking, and supporting others to come home to themselves.
But an important distinction emerged in our conversation:
Purpose is not always a profession.
You can have a purpose without having a business.
You can live your purpose without having a public platform.
You can express your purpose through the way you love, listen, create, parent, hold space, speak truth, and meet your life.
Purpose is not only what you do.
It is who you are becoming.
It is how your energy moves through the world when you are living in greater alignment with yourself.
Astrology: Capricorn, Sagittarius, Cancer and the Sixth House
We then moved into Janeβs astrological chart.
Her Sun is in Capricorn, on the cusp of Sagittarius. Her Moon is in Sagittarius. Her Rising is in Cancer.
These three placements together reflected a beautiful blend of earth, fire, and water.
Capricorn brings devotion, discipline, mastery, legacy, and the willingness to walk the long road.
Sagittarius brings curiosity, optimism, humour, exploration, philosophy, and the eternal student.
Cancer brings intuition, emotional intelligence, nurturing, care, and the capacity to hold space.
As Jane reflected on her life and work, she could recognise all of these qualities.
Her decades-long devotion to dream work carried the Capricorn signature of mastery and commitment.
Her love of learning, meaning, humour, and exploration reflected Sagittarius.
Her ability to support others emotionally and guide them into deeper self-understanding reflected Cancer.
The Sixth House Stellium: Work, Service, and Devotion
A major feature of Janeβs astrological chart is a sixth house stellium.
A stellium occurs when three or more planets are gathered in one house, creating a strong emphasis in that area of life.
The sixth house is connected with daily work, service, health, routines, wellbeing, and how we offer ourselves through practical devotion.
For Jane, this reflected the way her work is not separate from her life. Her path of service, transformation, communication, and emotional support is woven through her daily existence.
This is a key theme for many soul-led people.
Sometimes our work is not βjust work.β
It is the place where we learn, serve, refine, create, heal, and become.
Scorpio, Transformation, and Going Beneath the Surface
Jane also has significant Scorpio influence connected to depth, transformation, and the willingness to explore what is hidden or often left unspoken.
This made sense in relation to her work with dreams.
Dreams invite us beneath the surface.
They take us into symbol, shadow, unconscious material, emotional truth, and hidden meaning.
Scorpio is not interested in staying on the surface of life. It wants to compost, transform, and uncover what is real.
Janeβs chart beautifully reflected her natural capacity to work in these deeper spaces.
Gene Keys: Naturalness, Magnetism, Delight and Acceptance
In the final part of the reading, we explored Janeβs Gene Keys Genius Sequence.
Four themes stood out:
Naturalness β the gift of being deeply herself and allowing her work to flow from an authentic place.
Magnetism β the gift that emerges when she follows life through experience, curiosity, and movement rather than stagnation.
Delight β the quality that keeps her vital, especially when life becomes serious or heavy.
Acceptance β the grounded purpose of meeting life as it is, with openness, presence, and trust.
These themes came alive when Jane shared the story of writing her first fiction book, Ninth Life, during a period of profound grief and caregiving.
Her husband was dying. Her sister had been diagnosed with stage four cancer. And in the midst of that deeply emotional season, Jane felt called to write a witty, imaginative story about a psychic cat beginning her ninth life.
This was not avoidance.
It was aliveness.
It was creativity moving alongside grief.
It was delight appearing in a serious season.
It was an expression of acceptance, imagination, and life continuing to move through her.
Your Blueprint is a Mirror
One of the most important messages of this episode is that your blueprint is not here to box you in.
It is not here to tell you who you are allowed to be.
It is not here to replace your inner authority.
It is here to act as a mirror.
A good reading does not take you away from yourself. It brings you closer.
It helps you recognise patterns that have always been there.
It gives language to what your body and soul may already know.
It offers permission to stop trying to become someone you were never designed to be.
That is the heart of this work.
Not prediction.
Not performance.
Not spiritual perfection.
Recognition.
Integration.
Coming home.
